HEBAMMELINA

Midwifery care

Start looking for a midwife early on in your pregnancy.  A midwife attends to you during pregnancy and after you have the baby.

What is the midwife’s job?

A midwife in Germany is trained to care and look after a healthy pregnancy. A law in Germany says that a midwife in German.HAS to be present at a birth and to look after you and the baby during the first 12 weeks after the baby is born.

During your pregnancy I will examine:

– palpating and measuring  the growing belly
– feeling the top of the uterus, we call that fundus
– listening to baby’s heart beat
– checking for water retention and varicose veins
-messuring your blodpressure
-of course time to answer all your question

After birth („Wochenbett“):

Come to my practice with your baby! I will examine you and your baby and advise you on all your questions.

During my visit I examine:

yours health
– the uterus
– bleeding
– checking stitches and/ or scars
– giving tips and advice on breastfeeding and /or other types of feeding
– checking the baby’s weight
-checking the baby for jaundice
– bathing the baby with you the first time, if wanted
– answering all your questions

My list ONLY applies if you are insured with a general, public German insurance. Check with your private insurance, it depends on your contract what they will cover and what not.

Where is the midwifery practice located?
Draisstraße 2c in 91522 Ansbach

About Me:

I am Melina and a passionate midwife.
After the birth of my little brother, my childhood dream arose to become a midwife because I was fascinated by midwifery work.
During a voluntary internship in a delivery room, I saw my first birth. This influenced me because it was here that I realized what a special moment the birth of a child is. I then began my midwifery training.
Since my exams, I have been a midwife at the Ansbach Clinic and look after women during pregnancy and after the birth in my midwifery practice “Kugelzeit Midwives” with my dear colleague midwife Romy Reindler and at your home.

Since I grew up bilingual, I am very happy to be able to look after you holistically during your pregnancy and after birth.

I am pleased to meet you!

Lots of love,
Midwife Melina
